TMI Blog Hop: 26 Things About Me #TMIblogHop

The TMI Blog Hop is going around again and I decided to play along. Thanks to Debbie the Dog Lady and Yolanda Renee for piquing my interest. This is me, from A to Z

A: Age
A lady never tells her age and, even if she did, she would tell the age she prefers.

B: Biggest fear
Running out of time. I have so many books to read and things to make I feel like I'll never accomplish all of it.

C: Current time
11:46 a.m. I should be working but here I am.

D: Drink you last had
Iced coffee--it's sitting right beside me now.

E: Every day starts with
Coffee and my Inspiration for Writers post on Facebook and Twitter

F: Favorite Song
I tend to prefer classical music, especially baroque but I've told my family that I want the Rolling Stones' "Hony-Tonk Woman" played at my funeral.

G: Ghosts, are they real?
I think so. I write ghost stories and have often sensed another's presence.

H: Hometown
St. Marys, Pennsylvania. The inspiration for my Marienstadt books.

I: In love with
Gloucester. I've been her 20 years and love it more every day.

J: Jealous of?
Authors who are good at book marketing. It is a constant challenge for me.

K: Killed someone?
Only on the page--but I'm a serial killer there.

L: Last time you cried?
I have been weepy a lot lately although mostly happy tears. I watched a video of a very talented young man yesterday that had me in tears.

M: Middle name
Kathleen

N: Number of siblings
Seven--three brothers, four sisters

O: One wish
That people would just calm down and think before reacting

P: Person you last called?
My brother just to see how he was doing. He was recently in the hospital.

Q: Question you're always asked
How did you come to live in Gloucester?

R: Reason to smile
Many of them--many, many, many. Not the least of which is the cardinal outside my window, chirping his little heart out.

S: Sounds that annoy you
Loud television. I'm not a TV person and get crabby when I am reading and can hear someone else's television blasting.

T: Time you woke up
7:00 which is quite early for me.

U: Underwear color
Black--it makes me feel dangerous and mysterious

V: Vacation destination
My back porch. I live in a town that people save all year to come to for a week

W: Worst habit
Procrastination--I don't know why I do that but it annoys me.

X: X-Rays you've had
Not many. Mostly when I had oral surgery.

Y: Your favorite food
Homemade rhubarb pie with strawberry ice cream! Ever since I was a kid. I used to ask for it instead of birthday cake.

Z: Zodiac sign
Cancer

  1. I am not much for pie but I do love rhubarb pie. I visited Gloucester which is really pretty and we did a whale watch tour. I mainly watched my friends become very sea sick along with most of the other people on the boat

  2. We live in similar places. Our town overflows with tourists during the summer. I try never to forget how beautiful it is here.

    2. Agree. And the tourists support us with their dollars. Can't complain.

  4. WOW! You certainly are an accomplished writer...

I like the "Pick out a song for my funeral" thing. Mine is Share The Land by the Guess Who.

  7. Hi, Kathleen!

Thank you very much for showing an interest in SDMM. I appreciate your visit. You and I have a lot in common. I grew up in south central PENNA, York County, and spent years living near the Pennsylvania Dutch Amish community in Lancaster County. Like you I attended Paterno State University (main campus, State College).

I can also relate to a number of your answers. I fear running out of time before having the chance to do all that I want to do. I enjoy coffee, hot or iced. Mrs. Shady comes from a large family. She has three brothers and three sisters along with several other half brothers and sisters. I become annoyed when I am subjected to loud television or any other loud noises. They derail my concentration. I am often lost in thought and wish to stay focused and get something accomplished.

It is a pleasure to meet you, dear Kathleen. I enjoyed your post and hope that you will stay in touch with me over at SDMM. Take care!

    1. It's very nice to meet you. Yup, I was at main campus in Happy Valley after two years at Behrend in Erie. I very much enjoyed your answers to the questions on your blog. I love it when people do original things.

And it is always great to meet a fellow Pennsylvanian. I love my home state almost as much as my new home in New England. I look forward to seeing you around the blogosphere.

    2. It was very kind of you to swing by SDMM again today, dear Kathleen. I don't know if you are a football fan, but I wanted you to know that I attended PSU during the years future Steelers great Franco Harris played for the Nittany Lions. Franco and I are only three months apart in age. I often saw him around campus.

      Have a great weekend, Kathleen!

  8. It was nice to get to know you a little better :-)
I'll confess, I'm a murder too. I murder one of my character, and it was horrible. I'm telling you, I'll never be a serial killer.

How long so I have to decide to partecipate? It sounds like fun, but I'm a bit short of time at the moment.

  13. Thanks for joining the blogfest, Kathleen! I enjoyed your answers. Procrastination is something so many of us suffer from. Gloucester sounds like a lovely place! It's been years since I had rhubarb pie. That brings back some fun childhood memories.
