Do not try this at home!!!
I admit watching this made me dizzy but it is also pretty incredible! The video below was shot by my friend Clare's sister Ellen and it shows all three of Gloucester's new turbines in operation. I think they are just amazing!
Thanks for reading!

We've got a lot of wind turbines here in Northern Germany. Lots of people don't like them, but I think they're great.
And it really is fascinating to see how they are assembled or how big the various components are when you're standing right next to them.
Besides, I noticed that your wind turbines actually were imported from Germany, from Schwerin on coast of the Baltic Sea.
Thanks, Cora! Obviously whoever ordered them knew where to get the best ones! I think they are beautiful. There are lots of them in Pennsylvania but these are the first up our way.
Germany is currently the world leader in windturbine technology, because we've got a headstart on most other countries. Several of my translation customers are suppliers for the windturbine industry, building specialized cranes, cargo handling gear, etc...
The first windturbines started showing up in North Germany approx. 20 years ago. They're pretty much ubiquitous by now. I can even see some windturbines from my window - or at least, I could if it wasn't dark and the window wasn't covered with snow.
